Aly & Fila is an Egyptian duo of DJ’s and producers of trance music, composed by Amr Fathalah Aly (Aly) and Fadi Wassef Naguib (Fila), both born in 1981. They were friends since childhood, but it was not until after falling in love with the music of Paul Van Dyk who decided to build his first studio and start making his own music since 1999.
After starting to become known in Egypt, they decided to enter the international trance music. In 2002, they signed with the German record label Euphoric Records. Their first release, “Eye Of Horus” received huge appreciation from DJ’s such as Paul Van Dyk, Armin Van Buuren and DJ Tiësto. Hand in hand with this success, the Dutch label launched in Fundamental Recordings, thus reaching number 4 position in the Dutch Dance Chart.
